The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in parts of the Freeport area, served by the Freeport Water Treatment Plant, who experienced a disruption in their water supply, that this was due to a power failure that affected operations at the facility on Thursday (23rd February 2023).
The power supply was restored by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) at 3:00 PM on that day, however, WASA notes that this situation will result in adjustments to the existing water supply schedules. Below are the affected areas in Freeport and the expected dates for restoration of service:
