A strong Earthquake with a preliminary Magnitude between 6.7 - 7.2 struck 25 Km Northwest of Anchorage, Alaska on Friday 30th November 2018. Significant damages have already been reported in several parts of Anchorage, as can be seen below.
A Tsunami Warning is now in effect for coastal areas of Cook Inlet and Southern Kenai Peninsula in Alaska.

An employee of the University of the West Indies, Maria Dass Supersad, has been kidnapped this afternoon from the St. Augustine Campus.
Reports indicate that she was forcibly taken into a Silver Nissan Tiida by at least two (2) men, one wearing a Police uniform and the other wearing an Army uniform. The Honourable Minister of National Security and Communications, Stuart Young, announced today at the Post-Cabinet Media Briefing that both the importation and sale of ‘Scratch Bombs’ will soon be illegal in Trinidad & Tobago.
