WASA CEO, Alan Poon King, made the revelation at a recent Media Tour of the Hollis Reservoir in Valencia as the water situation continues to worsen for WASA and T&T citizens during this harsh Dry Season. The water level at Hollis Reservoir has dropped to 40% and continues to drop.
Poon King is urging citizens to brace themselves for additional water restrictions. There are already water schedules in place in several parts of T&T and if the Dry Season continues to be harsh, WASA will be forced to schedule pipe-borne water to only two (2) days in some areas.
As Hollis Reservoir services a large part of Trinidad with pipe-borne water, areas that will be most affected by this possible new restriction include the following: KP lands, La Platta, Silica Sands, Cocorite Road, from Broadway to Henry Street, O’Meara Road, the town of Arima from the Priority Bus Route to Broadway, Arima Old Road from King Street to Cleaver Road, Malabar Phase 11, Samaroo Village, Darwill Gardens, Galaxy Gardens, Mausica Road, Pine Haven Development, La Resource North, Bon Air Gardens, Bon Air West, Lopinot Road and Arouca.
Poon King also noted recent reports of citizens being charged for truck-borne water deliveries and is advising citizens that they should not pay for such deliveries. They should instead call WASA Hotlines if they are without water.

According to Disney, “Avengers: Endgame” racked up a record-breaking US $1.2 Billion worldwide in its first five (5) days. It is now the only film in history to debut above the US $1 Billion mark. “Avengers: Infinity War” held the previous record for biggest worldwide debut at US $640 Million.
It is estimated that Marvel Studios has made near US $20 Billion worldwide from its slate of 22 Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies over the past decade.
”Endgame” also had the biggest opening weekend ever in the United States - a staggering US $350 Million - which demolished the previous domestic record of US $258 Million by “Infinity War.”
“The Fate of the Furious” previously held the record for biggest international opening, but “Endgame” has now eclipsed that record with US $859 Million. China alone accounted for US $330 Million of that figure.
“Endgame” clocks in at over 3 hours long and has garnered acclaim from critics and moviegoers. It holds a 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes and an A+ score on CinemaScore.

Unlike past Commissioners of Police, Gary Griffith is not afraid or hesitant to provide T&T citizens with a Firearm User License (FUL) so they can protect themselves. In fact, he is working hard on sorting through over 15,000 FUL applications that are currently backlogged.
Griffith made these statements at a recent meeting at the Office of Chaguanas East MP, Fazal Karim while addressing concerns raised by both members of the public and the business community. Griffith went on to apologize for the backlog of FUL applications and also said that based on statistics, only a very small percentage of FUL holders actually commit any crime with their weapon.
See some of Griffith’s statements from the meeting below and let us know your thoughts in the comments. I do apologise for what has happened over the past few years. Requests would have been made and not even the common courtesy was given to you all of a response. I am trying to clean up a backlog of over 15,000 applications. I am dealing with it and again, each one I have to put my signature about 12 different places. It takes a while but I’m cleaning it up.

However, Griffith is fighting back - calling his detractors “immature” and “ignorant.” Griffith also insists that Buju requested him on stage.
On Saturday 20th April 2019, Buju’s hotel room at the Hilton Trinidad was searched by members of the Organised Crime and Intelligence Unit (OCIU) but failed to find anything illegal. Addressing concerns about taking the stage at Buju’s concert, Griffith made the following statement: Had I not done this, relations between both countries could have been severely affected.
