The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising that there has been a delay in the completion of critical repairs works at the Beetham Wastewater Treatment Plant. WASA said in a Media Release today (Friday 28th July 2023) that its crews are working assiduously to complete these emergency works by this Sunday (30th July 2023).
According to WASA, “This situation has resulted in overflowing manholes, in parts of lower Port of Spain and Beetham Gardens, particularly during heavy rainfall. Crews continue to be positioned to respond in these instances by pumping down the manholes and sanitizing the affected areas.” For further information or assistance, customers can contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre, toll free at 800-4420 or 800-4426. The Authority apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks the public for their patience and understanding. We are a small operation.
