A teenager is expected to appear before a Master for the Magisterial District North, on Tuesday 2nd April, 2024, charged with the murder of Keron Gray, which occurred on 17th March, 2024.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the accused, a 17-year-old of Valencia, was also charged with attempted murder, possession of firearm and possession of ammunition, following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Roger Gaspard, SC, on Thursday (28th March, 2024). Gray, 39, of Cumuto, was shot and killed on Sunday 17th March, 2024 in the Valencia district. Another man was wounded in the incident. A suspect was arrested in connection with the matter on Sunday 24th March, 2024, by PC Morgan of the Valencia Police Post. Investigations were supervised by ASP Victor, Insp. Ramjag, Insp. (Ag.) Simon, Cpl. Jones and Cpl. Gordon, all of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region II. The accused was charged by PC Hardath, also of HBI Region II, on Friday (29th March, 2024).
