The Ministry of Health revealed in its daily 4pm update this afternoon (Tuesday 22nd December 2020) that there are twelve (12) additional COVID-19 cases in Trinidad and Tobago. The Ministry also reported twelve (12) cases yesterday as well as two (2) unfortunate deaths.
The country’s death toll currently stands at 125. T&T’s confirmed cases now rises to 7,024, with 411 being active cases. A total of 6,488 patients have recovered from the virus to date. The Ministry states that of the twelve (12) new positive cases, three (3) are recently repatriated persons and two (2) are from Tobago. Further, the number of positive cases reported reflects the samples taken during the period 19th - 21st December 2020 and not the last 24 hours. The Ministry also notes that there are currently twenty-four (24) COVID-19 positive patients being treated at Hospitals and thirty-nine (39) patients are in step-down/transition facilities.
