Today’s Weather: Hot, Sunny — Low Chance For Afternoon Heavy Shower; 34°C Max

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect mostly hot and sunny conditions today (Monday 18th September 2023). There is a low (20% - 30%) chance for the development of an isolated heavy shower or thunderstorm, favouring Western Trinidad and hilly areas, during the afternoon.

In the event of the occurrence of a heavy shower or thunderstorm, gusty winds and street or flash flooding are likely in the vicinity.

The Met Office notes that a Hot Spell Warning (Yellow Level) is in effect until 29th September 2023.

The forecast maximum temperature today will be 34°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 33°C at Crown Point in Tobago.

​Seas are moderate with waves near 2m in open waters and below 1m in sheltered areas.
