Police arrested three (3) suspects on Tuesday (30th January, 2024) during an anti-crime exercise in Barataria. The men, identified as 31-year-old Joseph Hunt of Sea Lots, Port-of-Spain; 18-year-old Colan Peters of Production Avenue, Sea Lots; and 30-year-old Obrian Mc Cully of Production Avenue, Sea Lots, are expected to answer to charges of attempted store breaking with intent and possession of housebreaking implements by night.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), around 9:30 PM on Monday night (29th January, 2024), the supervisors at a gas station located at #31A 10th Avenue, Barataria, in the vicinity of Maritime Roundabout, secured the service station by locking all windows and doors and went away. At 2:45 AM the following morning, the informant awoke from sleep and checked the CCTV cameras located at the said service station, when she observed three (3) men unknown to her, attempting to gain entry to the service station through a door to the rear of the building.
The informant contacted the Police who responded in quick time and arrested the three (3) suspects. The suspects were in possession of a number of house breaking implements.
All three (3) suspects were cautioned by PC Villalorel and subsequently conveyed to the Barataria Police Station, pending further enquiries. We are a small operation.
