A shotgun, a revolver, a magazine, a quantity of ammunition and house-breaking implements were seized during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Central Division early Friday morning (29th March, 2024).
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the exercise, conducted between 1:30 AM to 8 AM on Friday, was co-ordinated by Snr. Supt. Simon and included Officers of the Central Division Task Force, Cunupia Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Cunupia Warrants Section, Cunupia Police Station and Canine Branch. During the exercise, Officers proceeded to Bridal Road, Cunupia, where they found a knapsack containing a Maverick 12-gauge shotgun, a revolver containing six (6) rounds of ammunition, a Glock magazine, a screwdriver, a hammer, a pair of pliers, a hacksaw, a wheel spanner and a pipe wrench.
Investigations are ongoing into the finds.
