The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) announced today (Tuesday 28th July 2020) that medical authorities notified them that a suspected COVID-19 case visited their Service Centre in Marabella recently. The person is either a primary or secondary contact linked to a recent positive case. In response, T&TEC closed that branch as a precautionary measure. A notice posted on the door of the branch read, "TTEC Marabella Service Centre will be closed for business for the rest of the day. Sorry for the inconvenience." In a Press Release issued this afternoon, T&TEC noted that they were not forced to close the branch by medical authorities, but chose to do so in order to perform the necessary sanitization. They intend to re-open the branch tomorrow, Wednesday 29th July 2020. See the Press Release from T&TEC below for further information.
