A male student is currently hospitalized after being stabbed by another male student, following a football match on Wednesday (27th September 2023) between El Dorado and Five Rivers Secondary. According to reports, the 14-year-old victim was walking along Govia Street, El Dorado, with some school friends around 2:45 PM, when some students from the Five Rivers Secondary School, some dressed in school uniform and some without, confronted the group. The confrontation soon turned violent, during which the victim was stabbed twice — to the left upper back and to the left upper arm. The groups then dispersed. The wounded teenager was then taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mount Hope, where he is listed in stable condition.
