The Ministry of Social Development and Family Services is advising the public that effective from 1st April 2022, ONLY cheques cashed at the following institutions will be honoured for Senior Citizens' Pension, Public Assistance, Disability Assistance and Food Support Grants:
The Ministry notes that the encashment of these cheques are strictly prohibited at the following:
Encashment of cheques at the above mentioned unauthorised establishments, will be in breach of Regulation 14 of the Senior Citizens' Pension Act Chapter 32:02; Regulation 8 of the Senior Citizens' Pension Act Chapter 32:03 and the Ministry's Policies. The Ministry is reminding and encouraging all recipients of these grants to sign up for the Direct Deposit System, so that funds are deposited directly into their bank accounts, in a safe, reliable and convenient way.
