The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in parts of North, Central and South Trinidad, served by the Caroni Water Treatment Plant, that production has been reduced at the Plant which may result in reduced supply to some customers from 3:00 PM on Thursday 27th October 2022 until 3:00 PM on Saturday 29th October 2022.
WASA said this has become necessary due to flooded river conditions and clogged screens currently being experienced at the raw water intake of the facility, due to the weather conditions as per the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). The affected areas include: North Trinidad Served By Valsayn Booster Stations A & B:
North Trinidad Served By El Socorro Booster Station:
Central Trinidad:
South West Peninsula From San Fernando To Point Fortin

The Authority said it will continue to monitor river conditions with a view of returning the facility to full production capacity in the shortest possible time, and also thanks customers for their patience and understanding.
