The Law Association of Trinidad & Tobago has chastised both Prime Minister Keith Rowley and National Security Minister Stuart Young - calling on both to refrain from using derogatory statements about attorneys representing the interests of illegal immigrants coming to T&T. However, Minister Young is not taking the criticism lightly, and has in turn called out the Law Association for its involvement in this matter, via a Media Release issued on Monday (28th December 2020). In his response to the Law Association, Minister Young asked several questions, such as, how are lawyers communicating with illegal immigrants, and might their involvement be part of facilitating human trafficking?
