The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service and the National Hurricane Center (NHC) are both currently monitoring an area of disturbed weather progressing towards the Lesser Antilles.
This weather system has a high chance (70%) of Cyclone development over the next five (5) days. Regardless of development, T&T can see an increase in showers early next week, on Monday 5th August and Tuesday 6th August 2019. This broad low pressure system is located over the tropical Atlantic Ocean and continues to produce a large area of disorganized showers and Thunderstorms. Only gradual development of this system is expected during the next day or so while it moves West-Northwestward at roughly 16 to 24 Kmph. Environmental conditions could become more supportive by Saturday 3rd August 2019 and a Tropical Depression is likely to form several hundred kilometers East of the Lesser Antilles during the weekend.
