A man is dead following a shooting incident in Arouca early this morning (Monday 15th April, 2024). The deceased has been identified as 69-year-old Dennis Affan of #5 14th Avenue, Bon Air Gardens, Arouca. He was a father of three (3) and a former school maxi driver. According to reports, Affan was shot dead while in front of his house around 12:35 AM. Police said there was a gunshot wound to the front of his neck. Crime scene investigators processed the area and recovered three (3) spent 9mm shell casings at the corner of Bon Air Circular and 14th Avenue, which is approximately 150 feet away from where Affan’s body was found. The body was removed from the scene and taken to the Forensic Science Centre, where an autopsy is expected to be performed. We are a small operation.
