The Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT) confirmed this morning (Thursday 29th February, 2024) that five (5) fishermen from Cedros are missing at sea since last Saturday (24th February, 2024). No further information was provided by the HSRT.
The missing men have been identified as Captain Davanand Seepaul, 35, his father David Seepaul, 60, and three (3) other Cedros residents: Shiva Seepersad, Jeremiah Pasqual and Braiyer Gonzales Ali.
According to reports, the group left Fullerton Beach, Cedros, in a boat named ‘Amanda.’ That was the last time their families heard from the men. The boat has also been reported missing.
The families reported that the men are accustomed to going out in the Gulf of Paria and know the area.
