UPDATE: The woman who shot and killed the would-be bandit could be facing charges for her actions. Details here. A bandit is dead after being shot to the head by a female homeowner during an attempted home invasion last night (Saturday 29th July 2023) in Endeavour, Chaguanas. The incident occurred around 8:10 PM at a residence located at Egypt Trace, off Soogrim Trace.
According to reports, the female homeowner was at her home with her daughter when an unknown number of men attempted to enter her home. Her husband, who was not present at the time, is the holder of a Firearm User’s Licence (FUL). Fearing for the lives of her daughter and herself, the woman grabbed her husband’s weapon and fired in the direction of the men, hitting one to the head. Police were notified of the incident.
