An El Socorro businesswoman was kidnapped in broad daylight from her workplace this morning (Friday 29th December 2023). The victim has been identified as Aneesha Boodoo. Police from various units are being mobilized to search for her.
According to reports, Boodoo was at Auto Rama in El Socorro around 8:00 AM, when a black Nissan Rush (PDY 1325) with blue swivel lights drove up to the business place. Three (3) men alighted from the vehicle and identified themselves as Police Officers. They walked into the establishment and grabbed Boodoo before forcing her into their vehicle and driving off.
Employees at the establishment notified Police and Officers of the North-Eastern Division were called to the scene.
Officers from the Gang Intelligence Unit were also contacted and are expected to view security camera footage of the incident. They are also expected to dust for fingerprints at the scene of the brazen kidnapping. Investigations are continuing. More on this as it becomes available.
