The body of a man was found in Point Fortin on Wednesday morning (28th June 2023). The deceased has not yet been positively identified.
According to reports, residents of McKenzie Village observed the body lying on the ground around 9:00 AM, with apparent wounds to the head. Police were notified and a team of Officers, led by Insp. Ousman, ASP Matura, and Sgt. Jones, responded to the scene. The deceased is said to be a man of African descent, dark complexion, slim-built with short hair and a round face, approximately in his early 20’s and clad in a red sleeveless t-shirt and black boxer shorts. Once identified, a post-mortem will be performed to confirm the cause of death. PC Ramsoobag is continuing investigations. More on this as it becomes available.
