According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), the conditions over Trinidad and Tobago this morning (Friday 28th October 2022) continues to be cloudy with showers or rain in varying areas and thunderstorms in a few areas. Low level convergence and moisture remains over Trinidad and Tobago, therefore the forecast is for continuing partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with occasional showers and extended periods of light rain.
There is a 60% (medium) chance of isolated heavy showers and thunderstorms mainly during the afternoon and overnight.
Riverine Flood Alert #1 (ORANGE Level) remains in effect.
Adverse Weather Alert #4 (ORANGE Level) remains in effect. However, the Met Office notes that there is a possibility that this could be downgraded to Yellow Level by this afternoon, because conditions have become a bit more settled and most of the intense convective activity have been observed to be offshore at this time. The atmosphere remains unstable at this time, so please continue to pay close attention to the latest forecasts, alerts, and information issued by the TTMS.
