After nearly five (5) hours of no internet service in many areas on Monday (29th March 2021), Flow finally posted an update on its Facebook Page around Noon to acknowledge there was an issue and they were working on it. In addition to internet, some reported their cable and phone services were also down. Their services also went down on 20th March 2021. CUSTOMER ADVISORY Around 4pm Flow posted a follow-up comment stating, “Flow wishes to advise that internet service to affected customers has been restored. We apologize for the interruption in your service this morning. Thank you for your patience.” No indication was given as to the cause of today’s disruption. Customers, however, were not having it and openly shared their disdain for Flow’s lack of care towards customer service. Their initial update around Noon today has amassed over 800 angry comments from customers at the time of this writing - the vast majority of which were extremely negative. Customers also demanded a rebate for their loss of service today. Below are just a handful of the comments on Facebook: My internet still not working and you know when the month reach alyuh want alyuh money on time dis is utter bullshit poor service. Every week so? Steups. Everyone on this tread should be calling flow to have their services disconnected! There are to many options out there for some fool to tell me I might get a rebate only if the service is down for 72 hrs!!!! Can we get a rebate on the bill for this service interruption. Y'all realise people working from home right?!??!??! It seems like everyday there’s a new problem with your service but the same old excuse. Now you all putting up a notice. When this happening since 7am this morning. My son have classes he is absent because of this you all better refund the customer's because the 20th of March and 21st no Internet now today as well.. why I pay you all for looks because it's not service...do better than that you all aren't reasonable with price...so come on do better. Let us collectively petition the consumer affairs division to deal with flow poor service. Imagine they cut my service for $20 which could have been added to my next bill. Poor customer service indeed. Internet down since 9am and now you issue an update... poor! This is happening too often!! On the verge of changing providers! I'm in the middle of a practice test with my class. Thank God I have a data plan to hotspot to my computer! This is ridiculous! There should be rebates for outtages. I get emails, phone calls for bill reminders but you all cant send a text to alert customers to downtime or updates for restoration? It is truly disgusting. No kind of rebate but let anyone miss a day late payment and it's an automatic reminder. Also why you guys posting messages on fb for ppl who cant access internet to read? Send us text message updates or something at least wtf. People are PAYING for a service. This is not a charity operation running here. Rebate for all customers affected. Also why post an advisory when your service is down. Who gonna see it. Happening often as well need to look at other options. This is happening to regular with flow and their policy is no rebate on your bill. Just before I saw this post I decided to change providers. I refuse to pay for something that I am not receiving. Really getting tired of flow and thier crap service...almost everyday since last week the internet service has been having issues. On top of that they continue to remove channels without notice...their time is comin to an end with me. I’m very sorry but flow your service these days have been really really really poor. Multiple service disruptions low speeds but premium price still being paid. This is unacceptable. You need to do better. This apology needs to be reflected on our bill! REBATEEEEE Both internet and cable is down....this is ridiculous it's 12:50 now and yet nothing...hope u all don't charge us for this day. I'll be contacting the relevant department to request my rebate. If no rebate is being given i will be switching to another internet provider. This is absolute nonsense.

Attorney General, Faris Al-Rawi, has responded to the growing backlash surrounding his recent mask-less appearance at a charity games event which was live-streamed on social media. The event also included Superintendent Alexander, Blaze, Johnny Bravo, Voice and Penny.
In a statement issued on Sunday (28th March 2021), the Attorney General said, “I’m certainly very far from any perfection and have made numerous mistakes which I embrace openly. Even though no law was broken I should have acted better and unreservedly apologize.” Al-Rawi noted the charity event was held in a private residence with less than ten (10) persons present in the room. He also said, “In this time of COVID-19 fatigue, my participation was intended to bring some relief through charity and light-heartedness.” The Attorney General emphasized that even though the participants took temperatures and sanitized, “upon reflection it would certainly have been more prudent to wear masks in that setting.” Prime Minister Keith Rowley was asked about his thoughts on the mask-less Attorney General during a Press Conference on Saturday (27th March 2021). Prime Minister Rowley said it was “disappointing” to see the Attorney General not wearing a mask. He also said no one is getting a free pass.
In response to the Prime Minister’s comments about him, Al-Rawi said, “I fully support the Honourable PM’s reflections on this issue and especially his expressed view that each of us have a part to play in fighting COVID-19.”

In a Public Notice issued on 23rd March 2021, TTPost noted their enquires from the United States Postal Services (USPS) on the reason(s) for this long delay have not been met with a satisfactory explanation. TTPost has however decided to proceed with the delivery of these items, notwithstanding the lack of a satisfactory response from USPS to their enquiry. Accordingly, citizens will begin getting these delayed mailing articles over the next few days. TTPost advised members of the public on the following:
TTPost apologized to all members of the public who have been affected in any way by this matter and said they will continue to carry out its postal services obligations “with the utmost care and attention which are expected of us.” A Media Release issued by the Ministry of Health on 24th March 2021 noted that forty-six (46) private sector and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) provided voluntary support to the national COVID-19 response during 2020. A 50-year-old bar owner, of Dow Village, California was charged for fraudulently obtaining $100,000 by pretending he was the owner of a parcel of land.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), Ernest Todd was charged by PC Jaikaran on Friday (26th March 2021) and appeared before Justice of the Peace (JP) Steven Young on the same day. He was granted $90,000 bail with a surety and ordered to appear at the Port-of-Spain Magistrates’ Court on 29th April 2021. The bar owner was arrested on Thursday (25th March 2021) after investigations were conducted by the Fraud Squad based on a report received in January 2021. The suspect allegedly received the money after entering into a sale agreement with a couple in February 2019. He allegedly provided them with forged documents that appeared to show he owned a two-acre parcel of land in Couva. After a delay in conveying ownership of the land to them, the couple became suspicious. They subsequently learned that the land, which was previously under the administration of Caroni (1975) Limited, was red-flagged after being sold several times to unsuspecting persons. After attempts to get a refund from the suspect proved futile, the couple made a report to the Fraud Squad. The suspect was arrested after investigations conducted by PC Jaikaran revealed that he never held any entitlement or ownership to the land. UPDATE (1pm): Showers across Trinidad are gradually moving Northward as skies clear somewhat across parts of T&T. Showers and isolated Thunderstorms remain in the forecast through today. More gusty winds, Street/Flash Flooding are still possible.
An Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) is in effect from 9:30am this morning (Sunday 28th March 2021) until 2pm on Tuesday (30th March 2021). The Met Office says that periods of rain and showers of varying intensities are expected to continue intermittently, with a 60% - 70% (medium to high) chance of Thunderstorm activity.
Gusty winds in excess of 55 Km/hr may be experienced especially in the vicinity of showers/Thunderstorms. Localized Flooding is highly likely and rivers with smaller capacity can overflow their banks. Seas can become agitated due to strong winds. Flash Flooding is ongoing in Ogis Trace, Coalmine, Sangre Grande as of 12pm today. Residents of the area are marooned in their homes as a nearby stream burst its banks. At 12pm a cluster of showers moved onshore Trinidad moving towards the Northwest. Elsewhere, mostly cloudy skies are ongoing with few areas of light rain. Additional showers are forecast to move onshore from Northeast Trinidad and Tobago over the next hour.
Tributaries are on the rise in Las Lomas #1, near the ASJA Mosque. With continued rainfall through today, Flash Flooding is possible as smaller capacity tributaries and rivers overflow its banks.
Flash Flooding is also ongoing on Little Coora Road, between Cunaripo and Cumuto, Central Trinidad. At 11am this morning a new cluster of showers was observed approaching Trinidad from the Southeast. This will also bring additional rainfall to waterlogged areas of Central Trinidad, triggering Street/Flash Flooding. Persons are advised to avoid traveling through floodwaters.

Prime Minister Keith Rowley held a Press Conference at 2:30pm this afternoon (Saturday 27th March 2021) to discuss several important issues affecting Trinidad and Tobago, including the recent spike in COVID-19 cases. Below are the key points discussed today, courtesy of TTT Live Online: - Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, announced that if all goes as planned, the 33,600 COVID-19 vaccine doses from the COVAX facility are scheduled to arrive in T&T on Tuesday 30th March 2021 at 6:10pm. - Minister Deyalsingh also indicated that the doses will be distributed over the Easter weekend to twenty-one (21) sites across the country with 3,000 doses designated for Tobago. The Health Minister went on to announce that the national vaccination roll-out is set to start on Tuesday 6th April 2021. - The Health Minister reiterated that the first priority for this tranche of vaccines are healthcare workers and persons over 60 years of age with Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). The Minister indicated that persons over 60 with NCDs in the public healthcare system will receive their vaccines on their clinic days while persons in that category outside of the public healthcare system will be able to receive vaccines on non-clinic days by appointment. - Minister Deyalsingh concluded by stating that those receiving vaccines are asked to walk with their vaccination cards so that receipt of the dose will be recorded on it along with the date for their second dose. - Prime Minister Keith Rowley appealed to the population to not get tired of the COVID-19 Regulations and begin to flout them. He reiterated that we are NOT in a post-Pandemic period. The Prime Minister issued a warning to persons that previously received COVID-19 support cheques from the Government, that there are no more resources available to hand-out more cheques, should things take a turn for the worse. - The Prime Minister announced that if the numbers remain good after the Easter period, senior primary school students will be able to return to face-to-face classes. - Prime Minister Rowley issued a call to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) to enforce the COVID-19 Regulations with enthusiasm, for those bent on ignoring the restrictions on gatherings and mandatory mask wearing. - P.M Rowley firmly stated that there is no CARICOM country that has been able to buy vaccines as the product is NOT available for commercial trade. The Prime Minister went on to say that if persons offering the Government vaccines cannot say for sure what the source is, the Government will not be entertaining these parties. He concluded his point by indicating that the Government is only dealing with authorised and certified support. If you missed the Press Conference, you can watch it below in its entirety.
