Nicki Minaj dropped her controversial video for new single “Megatron” early on Friday 21st June 2019 - her first new music since her album “Queen” was released in August 2018. The video has racked up close to 4 Million views in 12 hours and is currently #2 Trending on YouTube.
The video is causing a lot of controversy online as it prominently features her boyfriend, Kenneth Petty - an ex-con who served jail time for manslaughter and is also a registered sex offender. Critics have lashed out at Minaj saying that Petty should not be heavily promoted in her video, due to his past serious crimes. According to TMZ: People are griping she shouldn't have showcased Petty, because he was convicted of attempted rape and manslaughter. As for the attempted rape, he used a sharp object against a 16-year-old girl in an attempt to have sex with her when he was 15, and shot and killed a man. He is a registered sex offender.
