Darren John (37) from Valsayn crashed through a concrete wall on the upper level Car Park in Price Plaza and then plunged over 30 feet to the ground below.
Fire Officers from the Chaguanas Fire Station rushed to the scene of this accident some time after midnight on Wednesday (13th February 2019) and were able to extract John from his demolished vehicle, where he was trapped. Suffering from spinal injuries, he was then rushed to the Chaguanas Health Facility and then transferred to Mount Hope.
A close family member told Police and Fire Officers that John had lost $1,300 gambling at the Five Star Casino in Price Plaza shortly before the crash and he appeared to be intoxicated.
