Effective from 2nd March 2022, regularly scheduled in-person interviews for Visitor Visas for business and tourism (B1/B2) will resume at the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy Port-of-Spain.
Visa Chief Frank Lavoie said appointments for all Non-Immigrant Visas, including Tourist Visas, will resume on a limited scale. Lavoie added, “The Embassy has worked tirelessly to safely resume these interviews. The relationship between the United States and Trinidad and Tobago is strong. People-to-people ties, which we strengthen through tourism and business visits, are central to that relationship.” Visa fees that applicants have already paid will be valid until 30th September 2023.
Applicants visiting the Embassy must wear masks and follow the guidelines of Embassy staff to ensure adherence to all COVID-19 protocols. People who are ill during the days before their interviews must reschedule their appointments to safeguard the health of Embassy staff and other applicants.
No one will be allowed to enter the Embassy with personal items, such as bags, purses, cell phones, or other electronic items.
