UPDATE (3:30pm): Because of additional rainfall, the Southbound lanes of the Uriah Butler Highway is now ONLY open to Trucks. All other traffic is being diverted by the TTPS onto the Northbound lanes, which are being used as a dual carriageway [Source: T&T Weather Center].
The Meteorological Office of Trinidad & Tobago has released new photos of the Uriah Butler Highway as of 10:40am on Monday 22nd October 2018.
TTPS has stated that traffic is currently flowing freely on the Uriah Butler Highway. Police are present at all points of the Highway that are still affected by flood waters, to give motorists direction. View the photos below and stay tuned for further updates.
