UPDATE: The stay-at-home order was in fact extended to at least 10th May 2020. Therefore, restaurants and other businesses will also remain closed until then. Our borders will remain closed until at least 15th May 2020. A date was not yet announced for the re-opening of schools. The Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) has announced that there will be a Press Conference at 2pm this afternoon (Saturday 25th April 2020) at the Diplomatic Centre in Port-of-Spain, which will be hosted by Prime Minister Keith Rowley.
We should hopefully find out the answers to some, if not all, of these questions today. As of this morning, Trinidad and Tobago still has a total of 115 positive cases of COVID-19. So far there have been eight (8) deaths and a total of 52 persons have been discharged. The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) has tested a total of 1,501 samples to date.
