Prime Minister Keith Rowley announced at a Press Conference on Thursday (23rd September 2021) that the daily curfew under the State of Emergency will begin from 10pm, instead of 9pm, starting from tonight (Monday 27th September 2021). The curfew will end as usual, at 5am the next morning.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has now published Legal Notice No. 238 - The Emergency Powers (Variation of Curfew Times) (No. 3) Order, 2021, as follows: THE EMERGENCY POWERS (VARIATION OF CURFEW TIMES) (NO. 3) ORDER, 2021 1. This Order may be cited as the Emergency Powers (Variation of Citation Curfew Times) (No. 3) Order, 2021. 2. In this Order, "the Regulations" means the Emergency Powers (No. 2) Regulations, 2021. 3. The times specified in the Regulations are varied as follows: (a) in regulation 3, from 5:01 a.m. to 9:59 p.m. every day; and (b) in regulation 4, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. every day. 4. The Emergency Powers (Variation of Curfew Times) (No. 2) Revocation Order, 2021 is revoked. 5. This Order shall come into force on Monday 27th September, 2021. Dated this 27th day of September, 2021.
