According to the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), Prime Minister Keith Rowley returned from Los Angeles, California, on Thursday night (30th June 2022) and will depart for Suriname on Saturday (2nd July 2022).
He will attend the 43rd Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM in Suriname, where United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony on Sunday (3rd July 2022). The Prime Minister has called for a Press Conference at 2pm on Saturday (2nd July 2022) at the VIP Lounge, Piarco International Airport, before he departs for Suriname. He is expected to address a wide range of pressing matters that have arisen since he departed for Los Angeles almost a month ago. Finance Minister Colm Imbert acted as Prime Minister during his absence and is expected to do so again when P.M Rowley is in Suriname. We are a small operation.
