UPDATE (12:30pm): The trees have been removed from the roadway and traffic is flowing on both lanes. Clean-up operations are ongoing and motorists are advised to proceed with caution in the area as heavy equipment arrive on site to assist with clean-up.
The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM) is advising citizens that there are three (3) fallen trees on the North Coast Road, after the Lookout heading into Maracas.
The ODPM issued this Advisory around 10:30am on Monday 5th August 2019. An Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) is currently in effect for T&T until Tuesday 6th August 2019. The San Juan/Laventille Regional Corporation has been notified and Tree Cutters have been mobilized to remove the debris.
