Minister of Education, Anthony Garcia, announced today that the results for Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) exams will released on Friday 28th June 2019.
Minister Garcia made the announcement at Education Towers this morning and also said that following consultation with stakeholders and a legal opinion, the SEA results will continue to be published in Newspapers. However, parents will have an option to not have their children's results published - once they have written the Ministry beforehand with their request. From 2020, this opt-out option will be incorporated into the registration process. See statements made by Minister Garcia below and let us know yours thoughts in the comments. Within recent times there were some issues that were brought forward in the public domain. Issues that have been identified by both parents and the stakeholders. Issues with respect to transparency and the right to publish or not to publish that might infringe on privacy issues and also established practices. As a Ministry of Education we could not close our eyes to various concerns.
