UPDATE 2: As of 3pm on Friday 28th June 2019, there have been several reported incidents due to the inclement weather:
1) Fallen tree along Toco Main Road and also on Valencia Road. 2) Sparking power lines on Rivulet Road in Couva as well as in Lopinot. 3) Street Flooding along several parts of Penal Rock Road. 4) Gusty winds have been recorded above 50 Km/h in several areas.
UPDATE: The Met Office has now issued an Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) for Friday 28th June 2019. Stay tuned for updates.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service is advising citizens that a Tropical Wave as well as other features will begin to affect T&T from Friday morning (28th June 2019). The highlighted area (white dotted lines) in the map above shows showers and Thunderstorms currently associated with the approaching features.
Gusty winds and heavy rainfall are expected which could result in Street/Flash Flooding. No Adverse Weather Alert has been issued so far. Stay tuned for updates. We are a small operation.
