UPDATE (8pm): The NHC has now increased the formation chance of this Tropical Wave from 70% to 80% over the next five (5) days and from 20% to 50% over the next 48 hours. Stay tuned for updates. Following the passage of Tropical Storm Gonzalo, both the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) and the National Hurricane Center (NHC) in Miami are currently monitoring a Tropical Wave East of Trinidad and Tobago, along 30W. According to the Met Office, this Wave now has the classification of “Invest 92L.” The NHC notes at 2pm today (Saturday 25th July 2020) that this Wave has a high (70%) formation chance over the next five (5) days and a low (20%) chance over the next 48 hours. See the latest update below from the NHC regarding this Tropical Wave: A Tropical Wave is producing a broad area of cloudiness and disorganized showers and Thunderstorms several hundred miles Southwest of Cabo Verde islands. The Wave is expected to move westward at about 15 Mph during the next several days, and a Additionally, the Met Office is also keeping an eye on another Tropical Wave which is closer to T&T, near 51W.
