According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), a Tropical Wave located several hundred kilometres East of the Windward Islands, which is moving towards the West-Northwest, is expected to produce cloudy periods with some showers and isolated thunderstorms on Friday (1st July 2022) over T&T.
The Met Office says the chance of tropical cyclone formation over the next five (5) days remains low at this time. In its 2pm Tropical Weather Outlook, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) in Miami said, “A Tropical Wave located several hundred miles East of the Windward Islands is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Any development of this system should be slow to occur while the Wave moves West-Northwestward during the next day or two (2). The Wave is forecast to move over the Windward Islands on Friday and then over the Eastern Caribbean Sea by the weekend, where further development is unlikely due to unfavorable environmental conditions.”
