UPDATE (3:10pm): More Thunderstorms are developing across West-Central Trinidad with isolated heavy rainfall and frequent lightning. This activity will slowly move Northwest. Light rain has spread across much of Northern and Eastern Trinidad.
UPDATE (2:40pm): The St. Joseph River along Maracas Royal Road is nearing threshold levels following heavy rainfall.
UPDATE (2:10pm): A tree has fallen on the Lady Young Road. Heavy rainfall continues as Thunderstorms move across the Northwest. Expect traffic delays.
Thunderstorms continue to develop across Western Trinidad this afternoon (Wednesday 27th April 2022), gradually spreading Northwestward. An Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) remains in effect until 6pm this evening.
Street/Flash Flooding has been reported in the following areas this afternoon:
Citizens are advised to be on the alert for cloud-to-ground lightning activity. Persons should not venture into flood waters.
