UPDATE 2: Winchester’s friends Michael Bradshaw and Keston Nicholas have been identified as the other men who perished in the accident. New reports indicate that the driver lost control and crashed into a T&TEC pole after the Union Road Flyover. On impact, a Transformer fell on the vehicle and exploded, causing the vehicle to become engulfed in flames. The four (4) friends were apparently on their way home after liming at a Club in Couva.
UPDATE: One of the men who died in this tragedy has been identified as T&T Footballer, Shahdron Winchester (27) while the woman has been identified as Djenne Hills-Dyer (30).
A Nissan SUV crashed into a utility pole around 5am this morning, Thursday 19th December 2019, along the Solomon Hochoy Highway (Southbound) near Gasparillo. Upon impact, the vehicle burst into flames, trapping and burning all four (4) occupants to death - three (3) men and a woman. Only the shell of the vehicle remained, with the four (4) burnt bodies inside.
The accident caused a major traffic pile-up on both sides of the Highway.
