Following yesterday’s birth of the yet-un-named new Prince of Cambridge, there has been a shake-up in the succession line to the Throne. For instance, Prince Henry (aka Harry) has now slipped from fifth-in-line, to barely-hanging-on, sixth-in-line. For most of his life he has been third-in-line. Worse yet for the Duke of York (once second-in-line), Prince Andrew — he is now no longer part of the "core" Royal family that will share the burden of official engagements in the future. His daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, are no longer entitled to Police Bodyguards, which now have to be funded by Prince Andrew himself. Yikes. Anyone alive today is unlikely to see another “Queen” on the Throne in their lifetime once Queen Elizabeth II's reign is over.
