As part of the national strategy to counteract the impending negative impact of the Delta variant of the COVID-19 virus, the Ministry of Health says the decision has been taken to enhance public access to the COVID-19 vaccine.
In that regard, the Ministry is advising members of the public that beginning tomorrow, Friday 30th July 2021, no appointments will be necessary to access COVID-19 vaccines at all drive-through vaccination facilities. World Health Organization (WHO) approved Sinopharm vaccines (first and second dose) are being administered. The Ministry notes that this also applies to the mass vaccination facilities in Trinidad except for the UTT Chaguanas Campus and the National Racquet Sport Centre, as second dose AstraZeneca vaccines are being administered at those facilities. “This initiative is aimed at increasing the reach, accessibility and convenience for members of the public seeking to be vaccinated against COVID-19. The population is encouraged to avail themselves of this opportunity to protect themselves and their loved ones from the COVID-19 virus.” Below are the locations and schedules for mass vaccination sites as well as drive-through sites.
