In a Media Release on Thursday (26th August 2021), the Ministry of Health said it has taken note of “incorrect statements” in the public domain suggesting that there were deaths due to COVID-19 vaccination.
The Ministry is advising the population that as at 26th August 2021, Trinidad and Tobago has had NO deaths due to the COVID-19 vaccine. The Ministry is also reminding the public that they should only get updates from reliable, official sources, such as the Ministry of Health and Regional Health Authority websites and social media pages. The Ministry said it will continue to inform the public on matters relating to the national COVID-19 response. There have, so far, been two (2) confirmed cases of minors (12 - 18) having adverse reactions to the Pfizer vaccine In T&T. Both patients are doing well. We are a small operation.
