Two (2) men are confirmed dead and one (1) wounded following a shooting by fake Police Officers at a house in Malabar early this morning (Monday 20th June 2022). The deceased men have been identified as Tureek Raymond, 25, and Gerome Fernandez, 35.
According to Police, the men were at a house on Ackbarali West at around 3am on Monday morning when a group of men claiming to be Police Officers entered the house and shot them both several times. Raymond and Fernandez died at the scene. A 29-year-old man, who was also in the house at the time, was shot in the back of the head. He was taken to Hospital and is currently listed in critical condition. Police recovered several spent shells at the scene. The Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region Two is continuing enquiries into the shooting. In a separate incident, a 17-year-old was shot dead last night (Sunday 19th June 2022) in St. James — as the crime wave over the long weekend continues.
