In a statement issued a short while ago (Monday 25th April 2022), the Ministry of Education said it wishes to “immediately address the erroneous social media post that says that the Ministry called a meeting to discuss the rotation or close of schools. This is FAKE NEWS.” The social media post in question states the following: 18 schools affected by COVID-19...since its reopening...MINISTRY OF EDCUATION [sic] want to keep a meeting by the end of the week to discuss whether to close it back or rotation of hours...now came over the news...NOT CONFIRMED. The Ministry added that its Education District Health Unit continues to assist Principals in the management of COVID-19 cases which arise at school. “This system has been implemented since February 2021, when schools opened for physical attendance and continues at all schools.”
