The Ministry of Health held a virtual Press Conference at 11am this morning (Monday 27th September 2021) to update the public on the latest developments with COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.
Below are the key points discussed today, courtesy of TTT Live Online:
- Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Roshan Parasram, stated that due to the Delta variant being detected in more persons who have not recently traveled, the country is now in the early stages of community spread.
- Technical Director of Epidemiology, Dr. Avery Hinds, indicated that incremental increases are being observed across Counties in T&T, which is a point of concern for the Ministry.
- The CMO shared the recent vaccination figures and stated that 566,711 persons have received one (1) dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 478,787 persons have completed their vaccine regime.
