Shortly after 2pm today (Monday 17th February 2020), a gardener at Penn Trace in Cunupia discovered the body of a man floating face down in a nearby ravine and alerted Police. Several Officers from the Cunupia Police Station arrived on the scene and examined the body. They believe it is the body of a man from Mount Hope identified as Roderick Harewood.
Police said his car was found in the same area on Sunday night, which had several bullet holes and bloodstains. Harewood's body may have been dumped there and his car left abandoned.
The body was later removed to the Forensic Science Centre pending an autopsy on Tuesday. Investigations are ongoing and no motive for the crime as yet been established.
