UPDATE (14/07/19 - 5pm): The Met Office has now issued an Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) for Monday 15th July 2019.
UPDATE (14/07/19 - 11am): Much of the heavier showers and Thunderstorms are forecast to move North of T&T, mainly affecting Tobago. However, locally heavy rainfall, Street/Flash Flooding and gusty winds are possible across both islands, particularly on Monday and Tuesday.
Invest 93L (Tropical Wave 21) is forecast to move across T&T and the Windwards as a Tropical Wave on Monday 15th July 2019 and into Tuesday.
We may see some showers beginning on Sunday night (14th July) as this amplified Tropical Wave drags the ITCZ Northward. The ITCZ will therefore result in increased showers and Thunderstorms both ahead and behind the passage of this Tropical Wave, particularly late Sunday through Tuesday. Any development of the Tropical Wave is expected to be slow to occur during the next few days. However, environmental conditions are expected to become unfavorable for further development by early next week. Regardless, we expect to see heavy rainfall across T&T resulting from this system’s passage. Stay tuned for updates as we keep an eye on this Tropical Wave.

This is the question being asked the day after Mustard, an Albino Python, attacked veteran Zookeeper, Walter Bonyun at the Emperor Valley Zoo on Thursday 11th July 2019. Bonyun has worked at the Zoo for the past 27 years and has been bitten numerous times by different species of snakes.
A meeting will be held today to discuss the future of Mustard and specifically, whether children and adults will continue to be allowed to touch, hold and take photos with her. The attack took place shortly after Noon when Zookeeper Bonyun opened Mustard’s enclosure and threw in a dead rabbit for her to feed on. While the enclosure was still open, Mustard lunged towards Bonyun and bit him on his stomach.
As common practice, a second Zookeeper was nearby during feeding and was able to intervene, pull away the Python and secure it. Bonyun received medical attention shortly after. The incident was captured on video and quickly went viral online.
The Zoological Society of T&T (ZSTT) made the following statement regarding the incident: A full investigation is underway. The Emperor Valley Zoo assures that there was no danger to the public. The Zoological Association of America, of which the ZSTT is a member, has been notified and would also review the incident.
Luckily for Bonyun, he sustained a superficial wound and is said to be “doing fine.”
This is a developing story - stay tuned for updates.

UPDATE: Baby Chloe’s family as well as their Lawyer, Michael Winkleman, is blaming the Cruise Ship for her death. They claim there should never have been an open window in the kids area that she fell from. According to their Lawyer:
Why in the world would you leave a window open on an entire glass wall full of windows in a kid’s area. Why would you have that kind of danger without any sign without any warning without any notice?
Baby Chloe Wiegand, from Indiana, plunged 150-feet from the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Sunday afternoon (7th July 2019) and later died at Hospital.
