Due to the discontinuation of the Tropical Storm Warning for Trinidad and Tobago, students are expected to return to classes as normal today (Wednesday 29th June 2022) in Trinidad. However, schools in Tobago will remain closed as the Division of Education, Research and Technology has already advised that schools and classes are expected to resume on Thursday.
Minister of Rural Development and Local Government, Faris Al-Rawi, said late last night, “With the situation of downgrade, we are still in alert mode - but with no Government announcements, schools are still in gear for tomorrow unless advised otherwise.” Schools were closed on Tuesday, except for students writing exams, in anticipation of severe weather across the country. An Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) is in effect for T&T until 6pm on Wednesday. [Source: T&T Guardian] We are a small operation.
