A motorcyclist is dead following an accident on Friday afternoon (17th November 2023) in the vicinity of Wallerfield. The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Kervyn Walcott of Ramdhanie Street, St. Margaret’s, Claxton Bay. He was killed when a pickup crashed into him around 4:30 PM.
According to reports, A 74-year-old man from Wallerfield was driving a Ford Ranger, headed in an Easterly direction along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, Wallerfield, when he attempted to make a right turn onto Old Agua Santa Road. The pickup, however, collided with Walcott.
Walcott was taken to the Arima Hospital where he died around 6:17 PM while undergoing medical treatment.
Police said “extensive damage” was done to Walcott’s motorcycle, while the Ranger sustained damages to the left rear door and fender, left running-board and undercarriage.
