Two (2) persons are dead following a shooting incident at a mini-mart in Penal last night (Monday 6th May, 2024). The deceased have been identified as 31-year-old Radick Ajodha and 36-year-old Jenelle Thompson, who were said to be the owners of Jenoie’s Mini-Mart. According to reports, an anonymous caller contacted Police about a shooting at Rock Road, near Hope Trace, shortly before 11:00 PM. Upon arrival at the scene, Officers were directed by residents to the premises where they found Ajodha’s body at the back of the shop. Thompson’s body was inside the business place. Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region III, ERP, South Western Division Task Force and Penal Police Station also visited the scene.
Crime scene investigators recovered sixteen (16) 5.56 spent shells. Investigations are continuing. More on this as it becomes available. [Source: CNC3] We are a small operation.
