A woman was beaten and robbed after leaving First Citizens Bank in San Juan on Tuesday afternoon (30th April, 2024).
According to reports, the 61-year-old woman was leaving the bank after withdrawing $10,000 in cash, around 12:40 PM, when she was confronted by two (2) men. The suspects dealt the woman several blows before pushing her onto a parked car. The assailants then grabbed the victim’s bag containing the cash and other valuables before fleeing the scene in a gold Nissan Tiida. The woman notified the Police and a team of Officers responded to the scene, led by Cpl. Bhajan and PC Ferguson. She was subsequently taken to the Barataria Health Centre after she complained about experiencing intense pain. Investigations are continuing. More on this as it becomes available.
