A man is dead following a shooting incident in Point Fortin last night (Tuesday 7th May, 2024). The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Brent Lewis of 19th Street, Techier Village, Point Fortin. According to reports, Lewis was sitting on a tank stand on the corner of First Street, Techier Village, when he received a phone call around 8:45 PM. As he walked to the corner of First Street, opposite the Techier Community Centre, a white heavily-tinted Nissan Tiida stopped. Two (2) men alighted from the vehicle and opened fire on Lewis, hitting him multiple times about the body. He died at the scene. Residents reported hearing over twenty (20) gunshots.
