UPDATE (9:00 PM): The HSRT is advising tonight (Monday 22nd April, 2024) that the three (3) children have been found and are currently at the Arima Police Station with their father and mothers. “We are elated that the girls were found and wish them well. GOD IS GREAT.” Investigations are ongoing.
Three (3) children are currently missing after they were allegedly picked up from both mothers by their father, around 7:30 PM on Friday night (19th April, 2024). He told the mothers, aged thirty-eight (38) and forty-one (41), that he would return with them soon. However, he has since failed to answer any phone calls.
The children have been identified as 11-year-old Sakhmet Serette, 10-year-old Natalya Reid and 7-year-old Adelaide Adolphus. According to the Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT), the children’s father, Kurt Reid, of Stellar Street, Curepe, picked up the girls at both of their mothers’ homes to take them to an alleged family gathering. However, both mothers have since found out that there was no such family gathering. The women are said to have made their way to the Police Station around 8:00 PM on Sunday night (21st April, 2024) to report their children as missing. The HSRT said they are in contact with both mothers.
Investigations are continuing, led by Cpl. Madeira.
